Looking on to 2012
A few weeks ago, I received my (corrected) graduation audit. Long story short, I only have to take two classes for my minor and a phys ed class in order to graduate May 2012!! I was thinking about double majoring, but I’ve decided not to put any more money into my undergraduate degree. Saving that for post-bach and graduate courses :)
I have completed my shadowing experience with a SLP at a...

A little advice on the application process….
1. Graduate school is competitive, especially in the North East/East Coast area. If your GPA is not so stellar, don’t look in that area for a graduate school. Look for schools that will fit you. You want to get a good education. Don’t look at the Top…

Rarely do I come across a site that I don’t have to pay for worksheets or speech materials (which I don’t), but I stumbled upon this one…
teeshare asked: Hi :) I recently came across your blog, and I must say, I love it! I transferred schools this past year and have been trying to decide what to do with my life. I think I'm probably going to end up changing majors again next semester, but I just wanted to say that your blog has helped me solidify that I want to become an SLP. I hope to shadow in the near future too. I just wish I was finished...

2nd to last day of SLP Shadowing
At first it was “business as usual”. Observing patients who had an accident or condition of some kind, and were a little slow and foggy with word or memory recall - but with decent to good functional communication skills. Such has been every patient thus far.
I informed the SLP whom I shadow that I needed to leave early today, because I had a final exam. I mentioned that I probably...
