SLP 101

I am an undergrad student, majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Psychology. My goal is to take post-bachelor courses in Speech Language Pathology, then move on to acquiring a Master's in the field. My motivations for beginning this blog are as follows:
-To teach myself more about the field of Speech Language Pathology, and language in general.
-To learn from professionals and others with the same interests.
-To, eventually, share my knowledge with others.
Thank you for following me on this journey.

My first day of SLP shadowing went well! Felt like an idiot once or twice but hey…new at this! Was very excited that, when Olivia said we were going to meet with a patient who had a lesion in her right hemisphere from a stroke, I was able to anticipate that she had a lexical retrieval deficit. Looking forward to the remaining 6 hours… the first two went by too fast! :)
