SLP 101

I am an undergrad student, majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Psychology. My goal is to take post-bachelor courses in Speech Language Pathology, then move on to acquiring a Master's in the field. My motivations for beginning this blog are as follows:
-To teach myself more about the field of Speech Language Pathology, and language in general.
-To learn from professionals and others with the same interests.
-To, eventually, share my knowledge with others.
Thank you for following me on this journey.
ASL

On Day 2 of using my iPad to teach myself ASL. It’s been fun and effective so far. I know the manual alphabet, numbers up to 10, some greetings and introductions, please and thank you, yes and no, asking for/telling age, asking where the restroom is, signs for relatives, asking/telling where one lives, if they drive, if I can have their phone number, if they’re deaf or hearing, asking/telling if one is hungry or thirsty, and informing others that I am learning sign language and to please sign slowly.

I’ve been doing my best to practice on my own, but it’d be nice to have someone to converse with. I’m not sure how far I’ll get simply studying :|
